In short
- The Service sets two cookies, and only when you sign in to the Dashboard: one for at most ten minutes while you sign in with Discord, and one that keeps you signed in, which is deleted when you sign out or after 12 hours.
- Both cookies are strictly necessary. They are not used for analytics, advertising or tracking, and no consent banner is required for them.
- In your browser's local storage, the Dashboard remembers your chosen language, its Italian text and the currency you last chose for an invoice; the application forms keep the answers you have not yet sent, for at most 14 days; and the onboarding guide remembers the steps you have ticked. Nothing else is stored on your device.
- The public site, including this page, the home page and the public record, sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It is served by Cloudflare at italianarblx.com.
1. Introduction and scope
In plain terms: this Policy lists everything the Service stores on your device, and why.
1.1 This Cookie Policy (the "Cookie Policy") explains how Italia Turrita (the "Service") uses cookies and similar technologies on its web pages and on the Dashboard. The Service is operated by a natural person domiciled in the Republic of South Africa who operates the Service, assisted by the administration of the Repubblica Italiana community (the "Administration", "we", "us", "our"). This Cookie Policy forms part of, and shall be read together with, the Italia Turrita Terms of Service (the "Terms") and the Italia Turrita Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy").
1.2 In this Cookie Policy:
- (a) a "cookie" is a small text file that a website places on your device and that your browser returns to that website on later requests;
- (b) "local storage" is a facility of your browser that allows a website to keep a small amount of information on your device, which is not sent to the website automatically;
- (c) "strictly necessary" describes storage without which a service that you have expressly requested cannot be provided; and
- (d) terms defined in the Terms or the Privacy Policy have the same meaning here.
2. Cookies set by the Service
In plain terms: two cookies, for signing in, and nothing else.
2.1 The Service sets the following cookies, and no others:

2.2 The it_admin cookie is set only when you sign in to the Dashboard. It is marked HttpOnly (it cannot be read by scripts), Secure (it is sent only over encrypted connections) and SameSite=Lax (it is not sent with requests started by other websites), and it is limited to the /admin path. It is deleted when you sign out, and the session it refers to is deleted from our records when it expires. The it_preauth cookie is set when you select Sign In with Discord, has the same attributes, and is limited to the /oauth/discord path, to which Discord returns you.
2.3 The home page, the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy pages, the public record at /record, /record/member and /gazette, the account-linking pages and every other public page of the Service set no cookies.
3. Local storage
In plain terms: the Dashboard remembers a few choices, and the application forms keep your unsent answers so that they are not lost.
3.1 The Dashboard and the forms of the Service keep the following items in your browser's local storage:

3.2 These items stay on your device and are not sent to us automatically. Apart from the unsent answers of an application form, which are sent to us only when you send the form, they contain no Personal Data. If local storage is unavailable, the Dashboard is shown in English, the Italian text is fetched again, and the forms keep no draft. The public record pages keep nothing in local storage.
4. Third parties
In plain terms: other companies' content shown on our pages follows their own policies.
4.1 The Service does not place cookies on behalf of any third party and uses no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking.
4.2 Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. The Dashboard also loads profile images from Discord's content network (cdn.discordapp.com) and Roblox avatar images from Roblox's content network (tr.rbxcdn.com). Your browser contacts those providers directly to fetch them, which discloses your IP address to them; the Service does not ask them to set cookies.
4.2A The public site of the Service, including the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, this Cookie Policy and the public record, is served by Cloudflare, Inc. from the Service's own domain, italianarblx.com, as described in the Privacy Policy. When you open it, Cloudflare receives your IP address in order to deliver the pages and protect them against abuse. The Service sets no cookies on these pages.
4.3 When you sign in with Discord or link a Roblox account, you are taken to Discord or Roblox. Any cookies those websites set are governed by their own cookie and privacy policies, not by this Cookie Policy.
5. Legal basis
In plain terms: the law allows strictly necessary storage without asking first.
5.1 The it_admin and it_preauth cookies and the local storage items in clause 3.1 are strictly necessary to provide the Dashboard and the forms that you have requested, or keep a choice or an entry that you have made in them, and are therefore exempt from the requirement to obtain consent under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC as implemented in the law applicable to you, and under the equivalent rules elsewhere. Any Personal Data connected with a Dashboard session is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
5.2 The Service will not introduce any cookie or similar technology that is not strictly necessary without first amending this Cookie Policy and, where the law requires it, obtaining your consent.
6. Managing cookies
In plain terms: you can delete them at any time; you will simply be signed out.
6.1 You may delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser's settings at any time. If you block the it_admin cookie, you will not be able to sign in to the Dashboard; every other function of the Service remains available through its commands.
7. Changes and contact
In plain terms: if anything here changes, the date at the top changes too.
7.1 We may amend this Cookie Policy from time to time. The effective date shown at the top identifies the current version.
